We are recruiting for a Procurement Engineer to join us on a permanent basis at our Wolverton Mill site. You’ll be providing technical and engineering expertise across procurement and quality. You’ll assist and support buyers within the team not only focusing on securing best commercial terms but ensuring the material provided is of top quality as you’ll be mainly working on non-production components ranging from DB5 to current models.

You’ll be solution focused as you’ll support the team with resolving any back orders within the systemYou’ll be supporting and reviewing work with quality and procurement working together to get these resolved.

You’ll be working on multiple projects at any one time, you’ll create a cohesive strategy to identify which projects to work on and in what order.

You’ll be part of a team of approx. 12, where you’ll report directly to the Senior Manager Procurement. As part of the role, you’ll also be working closely with R&D, procurement, supply chain within aftersales team, quality aftersales, external suppliers, finance, and accounting.

Ideally, you’ll be degree educated within an engineering discipline or have sufficient experience gained within a similar fast-paced role within automotive or engineering background

We are looking for a confident, driven, organised, self-motivated person with a can-do approach. You’ll have exceptional communicating skills and have the confidence to challenge and persuade where required. You’ll have excellent time management and organisational skills as you’ll be working to multiple ever-changing priorities/deadlines using your own judgement and pre-empting any issues before they may arise. You’ll be highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It’s desirable if you’ve used team centre and can read CAD and technical drawings.

The work pattern for this role is Monday – Friday. As you’ll be working closely with the onsite quality and warehouse logistics teams, you’ll need to be onsite for cross-functional support purposesHybrid working is available and can be discussed at interview stage.
