Salary Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead a procurement function across the Group. As a key player in a growth journey, you will drive efficiency, cost–effectiveness, and innovation in our supply chain operations. This is a newly created role, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of our procurement activities and processes.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the group's business objectives. Identify cost–effective deals, negotiate contracts, and evaluate suppliers while maintaining quality standards. Drive continuous improvement in procurement practices. Team Management: Lead a team of two Purchasing Administrators. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and results–oriented team culture. Operational Excellence: Identify and capitalise on opportunities to enhance competitiveness. Improve Supplier quality and service levels. Streamline processes, reduce lead times, and optimise inventory management. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. ERP System Implementation: Active involvement in the implementation of a new ERP system. Collaborate with cross–functional teams to ensure a smooth transition. Leverage technology to enhance procurement efficiency. Strategic Thinking: Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to support business growth. Mitigate risks and proactively address supply chain challenges. Hands–On Support: Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and support the team when needed. Balance strategic vision with practical execution. Skills:
Proven successful experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role.
Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
Ability to lead and inspire a team.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
