We are seeking a Procurement Manager to support and execute strategic sourcing activities including supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, business award and contract handover to the business.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead procurement strategy development, including category management, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Set clear performance objectives and expectations for team members, and provide regular feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and evaluate potential vendors, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
- Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimise supplier relationships and drive value for the company.
Key requirements:
- Demonstrable knowledge/experience of public sector procurement regulations and experience of applying these to contracts and procurements.
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills - Experience in liaising with a broad range of government stakeholders, and their suppliers
- An understanding of, and experience in procuring across various categories
- An understanding of and experience in managing contracts
- Knowledge of and experience in using Crown Commercial Service procurement frameworks
- Experience in liaising with a broad range of government stakeholders, and their suppliers
- Experience in delivering high value procurements
