International food producer require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need procurement experience within the Food industry and ideally have sourced raw materials and ingredients. The Procurement Manager will lead a team of 4.
Reporting into a Group Procurement Director the Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring good quality raw materials are sourced and delivered to the factory in a timely fashion. The role has 4 direct reports.
Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:
- Lead, support, develop and coach a procurement team of planners and administrators
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Work with Procurement Director develop procurement strategies across direct food raw materials
- Review supplier and raw materials specs
- Drive supplier performance and manage supplier relationships
- Support NPD activities from a procurement perspective
Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Procurement or Supply Chain experience in the Food industry
- Previous experience in the procurement of food raw materials and ingredients
- Ability to manage, lead and develop a team
- Stakeholder skills
- Positive, out-going, self-starter
