Are you a Buyer or Procurement Manager looking for an exciting and challenging role withing the defence industry? Do you want to work on some of the world's most TOP SECRET projects in the UK and play your part in the current global crisis?

On offer is the opportunity for a Procurement Manager/Buyer to join one of the world's largest defence contractors to work on some of the world's most top secret defence projects and play your part in making a difference to the future of the world as we know it. Gaining Security Clearance, you will be playing a key role in the delivery of a range of mission critical projects across the various business sectors, supporting key customers, stake holder and government bodies, with plenty of on the job training and development opportunities and clear progression opportunities into Contracts and Commercial Management roles as well as other areas of the business.

In this role, the successful Procurement Manager/Buyer will be acting as the focal point for internal customers to define materials, services and overall spend requirements for designated projects, as well as managing the purchase order process, deliver reporting and maintain excellent supplier relationships.

The ideal Procurement Manager/Buyer will have experience in a similar role or environment, ideally from a defence or military background or able to get Security Clearance and be happy to work from home 4 days a week.

The Role:

• Developing effective customer relationships and negotiating independently.
• Managing and understanding procurement contracts.
• Maintaining supplier relationships
• Training, development and progression.

The Person:

• British Citizen.
• Procurement or Buyer experience.
• Be in the office 1 day a week.
