Procurement Heads is working with a renowned defence organisation which is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee all procurement activities within the Professional Services sub-category. This role involves managing category strategies, sourcing, and supplier relationships to support various Head Office and business functions, including Legal, Finance, Communications, Company Secretary, Internal Audit, SHE, Employee Engagement, and Pensions.
The People Category team offers expertise in Recruitment, Contingent Labour, Global & Domestic Mobility Services, Consultancy, Offload, and Learning & Development sub-categories. We are expanding our team to include additional expertise in Professional Services. Our enterprise-wide scope provides a unique vantage point on the entire business, allowing for impactful changes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead category management, sourcing, and supplier relationship management for Professional Services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain a robust category strategy.
- Optimise the approach to procurement of Professional Services from the external market.
- Integrate into the People Category leadership team within Indirect Procurement Services, which delivers common and transactional services across the organization.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive contract knowledge and experience negotiating terms and conditions.
- Proven experience in the Professional Services category or related fields, such as consultancy.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management skills.
- CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma (MCIPS), or willingness to work towards it.
