My client, a leading technology infrastructure provider, is looking to hire a Procurement manager to join their team. This is a newly created role within a growing business that is on a high-growth trajectory. This is a permanent role, with hybrid working on offer. Typically candidates come in to the office 2 days a week, with the remainder of the week spent working from home.
My client is particularly keen to receive applications from candidates who have worked in any of the following sectors previously: SaaS ; technology ; satellite telecommunications or digital infrastructure.

Role profile:
- Assist the procurement and supply chain leadership in establishing and overseeing a category management framework for technology-centric goods and services. This is likely to include networks, ICT, software deployments, and outsourcing.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to understand essential requirements for the company and its customers, enabling the formulation, initiation, and execution of sourcing and category strategies.
- Demonstrate leadership in engaging with existing and potential suppliers, creating an optimized commercial environment that facilitates the secure, high-performing, and cost-effective adoption of new solutions by stakeholders.
- Take ownership on the end-to-end management of supplier contracts, from implementation to ongoing performance oversight, with a focus on understanding the toal cost of ownership.
- Proactively manage, report, and enhance third-party spending and supplier performance, implementing Supplier Relationship Management practices as required.
- Work to minimise supply chain risks and ensure business continuity by securing the supply chain.
- Be mindful of the company’s ESG strategy - assessing carbon footprint / working with stakeholders and suppliers to develop action plans to meet established targets.
- Maintain a current understanding of suppliers, trends/ emerging markets / be able use this knowledge to inform and influence supplier and technology selections.
- Work with sales and functional leaders to identify and plan sourcing activities and delivery timelines.
Candidates should have:
- Experience in strategic sourcing and procurement across one of the following sectors: SaaS ; technology ; satellite telecommunications
- Demonstrated track record of formulating and executing sourcing strategies, category strategies, and/or Supplier Relationship Management
- Exceptional negotiation skills, including both methodologies and emotional intelligence, coupled with strong commercial acumen.
- Robust interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, possess the ability to effectively engage and influence at all organizational levels.
- Leadership experience in the development and implementation of new procurement capabilities
- Have a well-established network of suppliers and relationships within one of the following industries: SaaS ; technology ; satellite telecommunications or digital infrastructure
- Familiarity with software implementations and/or outsourcing projects.
- Possession of CIPS or other relevant procurement qualifications
