Salary: £35,000

Location: Buckinghamshire (office 1-2 times per week)

We are currently partnered with a leading Public Sector transport and infrastructure company, contributing to the nation's growth and development through endless high-profile projects. With a robust revenue stream in the £Multi-Billion range, they are a key player in shaping the future of transportation and infrastructure across the country.

Their best-in-class national procurement team play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the company-wide operations, and now, they have a brand new growth opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist to come on board.

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be focusing on the procurement of various indirect services, and will engage and assist on sourcing and procuring categories such as HR, Professional Services, Facilities Management, and Marketing, whilst business partnering with key internal stakeholders to identify needs and deliver workable strategic plans.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the evaluation of competitive tenders for the supply of goods and services
• Working with senior stakeholders, you will develop market know-how and gravitas to influence major decisions across the aviation units
• Working closely with the procurement team, internal stakeholders and external parties to seek continued improvement in the category value
• Experience world-class training and development within a procurement function renowned for developing talent internally and progressing them through the ranks

Required Experience:

• Work experience in a setting with skills transferable to procurement, including but not limited to sourcing, negotiation, financial management, stakeholder management, problem solving and staying up to date on industry trends
• *** Prior procurement expertise in a sourcing or buying role is ideal but not required. Interest in establishing a career within procurement/supply chain is essential
• Negotiation: You can confidently negotiate and identify more favourable commercial outcomes
• Team Collaboration: The ability to navigate seamlessly through a cross-functional environment. This opportunity requires someone who plays well with others and can steer through the intricacies of corporate strategy and procurement with a diverse team
• Public Sector Insight: If you are familiar with the ins and outs of large-scale Public Sector organisations (such as the NHS or government functions), you can consider this a bonus point in your application
• Analytical Skills: Cut through complexity with sharp analytical skills to streamline procurement processes
• Effective Communication: Your messages hit the mark, and your interpersonal skills speak volumes
