Position: Buyer/Procurement Professional
Location: South Manchester/Macclesfield (Hybrid Working)
Responsibilities: As a Buyer/Procurement Professional you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services required for the manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and products.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
- Managing relationships with existing suppliers and evaluating their performance.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
- Analyzing and optimizing procurement processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in buying/procurement within the Engineering/Manufacturing Sector.
- Experience in both direct and indirect procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Location: This position is based in South Manchester and offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a balance between remote and office-based work.
