Your Purpose

We’re now looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist  to join our brilliant Procurement Team.

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing overall support for the Western European procurement organisation plus all internal stakeholders that interact with procurment.

From handling the transaction components of the procurement processes to financial accountability for working capital improvements and sharing responsibility for the delivery of all procurement goals/training set out in the procurement strategy.

The role requires software / technology expertise with the ability to develop new processes in order to drive efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Western European Procurement function to achieve departmental goals and long term strategy taking direction from the PLT.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders with systems and processes (training and problem solving), ensures business adherence to process and audit compliance.
  • Works closely with / informally manages the Procurement reporting and e-sourcing teams for the benefit of Western Europe.
  • Provides regular, accurate and timely reporting to assist the Western European Procurment Team and provides summary reporting to Western European Procurement Leadership team.
  • Is a Subject Matter Expert in the technologies used and the relevant processes and provides support and training in these technologies / processes such as SAP Ariba & Apex.
  • Ensuring provision of Procurement Specialist support across the various categories by allocating resource appropriately to manage the workload and administrative components of RFXs, New Vendor Set Ups, Credit Checks, Payment Queries, Citi Bank Supply Chain Finance scheme.

  • Previous Procurement work experience. 
  • Understands procurement process design and procurement technologies (SAP, SAP Ariba, Apex, Cirtuo, contract management systems, e-sourcing systems, supplier management systems, savings report systems etc).
  • Good understanding of sourcing, buying or contract management.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to produce medium to complex reports.
  • Can effectively train external stakeholders to use Purchase to Pay systems.
