PROCUREMENT SUPPORT OFFICER - INSIDE IR35 (VIA UMBRELLA) - UP TO 27.43 PER HOUR - SC (OR WILLING TO UNDERGO) - 12 MONTHS - STEVENAGE (HYBRID, 2 DAYS ONSITE PER WEEK)
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Procurement Support Officer to join our client within ADS on an initial 12 month contract from their site in Stevenage.
In this role, you will be the main liaison between internal project teams and external suppliers, managing customer repairs and spares procurement requests. Your responsibilities will include supplier assessment, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing solutions for any delays, while also measuring and providing feedback on supplier performance.
Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
- Process electronic and manual requisitions efficiently.
- Utilize SAP for raising request for quotations (RFQ).
- Create and analyze Excel spreadsheets to aid in supplier selection.
- Issue purchase orders within SAP and monitor their progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Amend purchase orders as necessary based on changing delivery forecasts.
- Maintain open communication with internal customers to keep delivery forecasts up to date.
- Assist in conducting business operational reviews.
Administration:
- Collaborate with Bought Ledger and vendors to resolve invoice queries, ensuring timely payments.
- Conduct data cleansing in SAP to ensure accurate data collection.
- Assess and measure supplier quality, distributing monthly reports and ensuring accurate annotations for delivery and quality purposes.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proactive and flexible self-starter with a proactive approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Education: Minimum basic secondary level education (Maths, English to O level/GCSE/NVQ).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain good relations with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a professional manner.
