We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: £80k+ depending on skills and experience plus executive level benefits including car allowance and bonusAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Director within the Electronic Systems Sector, based at Rochester, Kent. Responsible for the Active Inceptors Product portfolio, you will be leading a cross functional team responsible for development and execution across a variety of programs on existing contract commitments and defining/delivering on future business strategy. You will be joining our current team of Product Directors who lead a variety of program and service portfolios at the Rochester facility.What you'll be doing:

Plan and achieve/exceed performance and financial expectations on current and future programsEnsure ownership of performance for schedule, technical soundness, quality and field reliabilityDrive improvements to achieve on-time delivery with optimal quality at lowest costDevelop and lead a dynamic team with a focus on fostering ownership, delivery, innovation and a culture of collaborationMaintain regular interface with customers on key programs and new business opportunitiesCollaborate with the existing RBC Product and functional Directors to ensure New Business, Production and Aftermarket performance supports the Product strategySharing of best practise and learning across the portfolioGrow future talent across the business

Your skills and experiences:

Engineering degree or equivalentBackground in defence or aerospace is preferredExcellent programme execution and leadership skillsAbility to make decisions in a complex environmentProven experience in delivering strategically important and high value bidsCustomer relationship building and partnering skillsDemonstrated ability to achieve results through influencing othersProven mentoring and coaching skills

Your responsibilities will include managing current projects and actively seeking new business opportunities from both internal and external customer bases. This proactive approach aims to fulfil Integrated Business Planning (IBP) commitments and realize Product Strategic plans.
