Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Product Management and Editing Assistant. This dynamic role is responsible for the efficient processing of teaching case studies submitted to us for distribution to the case method community. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the editing process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of case studies, and will also manage the administrative tasks associated with processing products through our system for publication and distribution on our website.

The Case Centre is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the case method worldwide, sharing knowledge, wisdom and experience to inspire and transform business education across the globe. We have 25 employees and are located on the Cranfield University site in Bedfordshire.

The role has 2 elements:

Case editing duties:  You will review and assess teaching case study submissions and collaborate with authors to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy of content. You will guide authors in refining case study narratives and work closely with the editing team to maintain and improve processes. You will carry out some light edit of content for grammar, style, and clarity.

Product management: You will oversee the end-to-end processing of teaching case studies through our internal systems, manage the workflow of case study submissions and coordinate with the team to ensure timely and accurate entry of case study data into our system.

You must have excellent written and verbal communications skills; you will be confident and articulate with exceptional attention to detail. You will be communicating with authors from all over the world, so a confident, clear and concise writing style is required. You will be joining a fabulous department, and you need to enjoy working within a team, you need to be able to work autonomously but be willing to ask questions when you are unsure or require support.

Full training on our systems will be provided, but you need to be very confident with IT as well as being very organised with good project management skills.

This is an office-based full-time role working 37 hours per week. A comprehensive induction and training programme will be put together to support you and there is room for progression and growth for the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience within an editing environment, or with Product Management experience.

Salary for this role will be £24,000 per annum, with 4+ weeks annual leave, a generous pension scheme together with a comprehensive benefits programme.

First stage interviews will take place w/c 22nd April with a formal interview in week commencing 6th May 2024.
