SalaryTour Operator that specialises in luxury safari holidays in Africa are looking for an experienced Product and Marketing Manager to take on this exciting and varied role. You ideally need to have specific experience in the tailor-made African safari holidays as this is such a niche area of the world.
Salary is circa £34K - £40K pa plus benefits and this role can be office based in Suffolk hybrid, or fully remote.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Liaising with suppliers regarding rates and contracts
- Keeping our database up to date with property descriptions, contacts, supplier information and images
- Managing our Due Diligence on suppliers
- Supporting with our sales team with latest news, special offers
- Over-seeing our Social Media, Website Blogs and Email Marketing
- Assisting with sporadic advertising, PR, consumer shows and client events
- Keeping our website up to date where properties are featured
- Helping develop our website and liaising with our website developers
- Over-seeing our charity work, conservation and sustainable business projects
EXPERIENCE:
- Having as much experience of Africa and the tailor-made travel industry as possible
- This role would suit someone who has been a Product Manager and/or Marketing Manager along with Tour Operator experience
- The ability to comfortably write text, camp descriptions, social media posts, supplier write ups Working accurately within a detailed database system and within One Drive/ O365 Having some experience of social media, email marketing, working with images.
- The ability to 'spin plates' and work on a variety of different project simultaneously
- Being experienced with technology, websites, graphics would be very valuable
- Being able to create/ write high quality content for our website or social media - we have in house writers to do most of this
- Being able to build websites - our web developers do the technical work and most updates
- Managing or coaching our sales team - they are all super experienced and just need back up assistance rather than any form of management or training
PACKAGE:
Salary - £34k - £40K dependent on experience
This role can be office / hybrid but there is potential to consider fully remote dependent on the candidates experience, but travelling to the office on a regular basis is a must.
