The role of the Product Manager – Unsecured Lending is a new role in the Unsecured Product Team. It is responsible for managing the proposition strategy and new Proposition Development for Unsecured Lending and helping to shape the overall unsecured lending strategy. HSBC has a significant growth strategy, and this is a key role in ensuring there are the right product and propositions to meet customer needs.

In this role you will:
- Responsible for shaping the Credit Card proposition strategy across HSBC, First Direct and M&S Bank , identifying product, execution or capability gaps and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Development and delivery of a compelling proposition strategy across brands, ensuring a range of products that capitalises all opportunities for growth while limiting customer confusion and maximising commercial returns.
- Commercialisation of newly delivered products/propositions to ensure they meet expected KPIs
- Keeping abreast of internal developments and the external market to ensure the impact of changes, competitor strategy and innovation is identified early, and appropriate plans developed to address. Using data to inform business decisions and find opportunities to improve effectiveness of activity.
- Working with Unsecured stakeholders to identify key commercial drivers for existing / new products and document product objectives to assist in aligned execution of strategy across the different teams.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders including Everyday Banking, Credit Risk, Legal and Compliance, Finance, Marketing and brand owners to understand their objectives and constraints, ensure buy in to proposals and gain formal approval through appropriate governance. Working with third party stakeholders, such as Mastercard and Visa to secure additional funding or assets to drive more relevant and appealing propositions.
