The business unit AddSecure Smart Transport offers products and solutions for the transport and logistics industry. We are now looking for a motivated and driven Product Owner to join our team in Northampton.
About the job
The Product Owner will report to the Product Management Team Leader. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the development team by ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with the overall product roadmap and meets customer and stakeholder needs. The Product Owner helps the development team to build the products with the right quality, within the agreed timeframes. The Product Owner also works closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to deliver winning products, and ensure customer satisfaction and business strategy goals are met. The responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:
- Have sole responsibility for backlog grooming, for one or more products (e.g. Video Telematics, fleet, TMS)
- Understand customer pains and turn problems into actionable user stories, prioritize the user stories, and arrange user stories in the product backlog.
- Construct and prioritize processes to ensure that the development team is clear on what to work on next.
- Attend all agile and scrum meetings to ensure that development work is aligned with the roadmap set by the Product Manager.
- Communicate the voice of the customer to the development team
- Provide status and feedback on the agreed roadmap to the Product Manage
- Collate and evaluate product feedback. Participate in service reviews for key customers
- Lead agile product workshops including requirement gathering, refinement, estimating and retrospectives
- Product demonstrations. Confident delivery of product demonstrations to both internal staff and customers.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role is solution-driven with excellent organizational and analytical skills, possessing a strategic mindset, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. Collaboration is seen as a key strength to achieve common goals.
Product management experience within a combined hardware/SAAS solution is highly desirable. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in video telematics, vehicle telematics, or solutions that integrate both software platforms and hardware devices.

This role will be based at our Northampton office, but we work a hybrid model, allowing for 2-3 days home-working per week.
