Wise Employment are working on behalf of an established and successful manufacturing company to find a ProductSpecification Technologist to join their team.
This is a permanent role and we are accepting applications for Hybrid working for this role working Monday to Friday 830am-5pm, site is Callington, Cornwall. Salary is up to GBP35K DOE. What your day will look like:
As a Product Specification Technologist, to ensure that Gold Standard specifications are met and achieve right first time submissions you will be expected to manage & maintain up-scaled production recipes in development & manage process documentation to meet both legal & customer requirements.
Producing high quality and accurate documentation within time constraints to meet business needs is essential as well as maintain a professional manner when interfacing with colleagues, customers and third parties.
You will become an expert with the department/company systems and equipment to ensure the smooth running of the department. Similarly, you will be responsible for ad-hoc projects, providing support to the technical team & checking/approving artwork against specification details.
Ensuring technical/NPD handovers are completed, keeping up with customer brand standards of technical and legal requirements, understanding and managing critical pathways and completing/maintaining documentation will also be your responsibility.
Experience Required for Product Specification Technologist:
You will need to have previous strong experience working with retailer specification systems alongside Food Technology, Process Technology and/or Food Engineering qualifications & experience. A systemic approach and good time management skills are essential as well as strong presentation & influencing skills. You will need to be computer literate & understand business finance.
