We are seeking an experienced Product Tax Senior Manager to join our team in Alderley Edge or Edinburgh.
As a Product Tax Senior Manager, you will play a key role in monitoring our UK products to ensure compliance with tax legislation, identifying areas for improvement across both processes and documentation, and in the delivery of training.
This is a new role to Royal London and as such the successful candidate will have the opportunity, aligned to our vision of how we embed tax compliance across our business, to shape this role.
About the role
- Develop and implement the monitoring plan for the application of tax requirements to all UK Products we sell or manage.
- Champion, challenge and influence Heads of Proposition and Product Owners, on the prioritisation of Product Tax activity in the delivery roadmap.
- Directly manage the training plan for application of Product Tax requirements across all relevant functions, producing materials and leading or supporting on training as required.
- Actively shape and influence best practice in Product Tax compliance demonstrating technical competence to lead in key areas and providing guidance and direction to colleagues across the Group.
About you
- In depth knowledge and experience of relevant UK Tax Legislation as it affects pensions, protection, life, and savings products.
- Be able to show experience from a similar role, ideally from a Financial Services background.
- Ability to effectively engage, influence and communicate across all levels of the organisation, and to withstand strong challenges across area of responsibility.
- Commercially astute with a broad knowledge and understanding of the commercial environment facing product providers.
