Production Assistant

The Role:
• Primarily to assist with the production process.
• Liaise with customers and respond quickly to customer quotations and enquiries.
• Produce quotations from customer drawings.
• Load customer orders onto production control software
• Produce 2D drawings and nests for CNC Laser cutter and CNC punch.
• Produce job cards for production.
• Entering data into the production and stock control systems
• Raising purchase orders for factory supplies as and when required.
• Liaising with the supply chain/sales and production and manufacturing team
• Raising delivery notes
The Person:
• Experience in production administration /production coordination/sales administration
• Effective communication skills with team, internal customers, and suppliers
• A strong focus on teamwork and internal/external customer satisfaction.
• Experience of MRP / ERP software, with good knowledge with MS Office applications, including excel.
• Good attention to detail with superior completer / finisher mindset.
• Effective time management skills able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Self motivating
• Excellent verbal and written skills

Skills and Experience
• Experience using Sheet Metal or Laser Processing CAM / quoting software, Radan and E2i will be advantageous but not necessary.
• Knowledge of Brake Press Machines advantageous but not essential
• Experience of 2D Cad essential.
• Presentable with a good telephone manner • Able to fit in to an established manufacturing working environment.
• Good organisational skills and able to work under pressure, prioritise, and manage your own workload.

Hours of work
are 8-4:30, Monday to Friday. 1/2 hour lunch.
