First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Production Assistant/Supervisor on a permanent basis due to growth located at their Wolverhampton depot.
As a Production Assistant/Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing various aspects of the production process. This includes ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and supervising production teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Production Teams: Lead and motivate production teams to meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with the production manager to plan and organize workflow, ensuring the timely completion of production schedules.Equipment Oversight: Monitor and maintain production equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs and upgrades as needed.Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality products that meet company standards.Training and Development: Assist in the training and development of production staff, ensuring that team members are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure a steady and efficient flow of raw materials.Safety Compliance: Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to create a secure working environment for all production staff.Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, prepare reports, and communicate regularly with management regarding production metrics and challenges.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in a production or manufacturing role.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Proficient in basic computer applications and production management software.
