The Role
Responsible for the co-ordination of the Production Control functions including:
- Build kits available to Assembly and Test as per the OE Production Plan
- Stores Function
- Project Shipping
- Incoming Deliveries offloading
- Facility cleanliness & Unit preFI clean
- Support Waste & Environmental management requirements to company procedures
- Preservation of stored equipment
- Assisting with coordinating and maintaining Training and Equipment requirements.
- Deputising for Head of Department or Production Control Assistant when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Working with Production Control Supervisor to co-ordinate activities of Production Support Operatives
Expediting of departments and suppliers for information, materials, sub-assemblies and parts.
Covering the Production Control Assistant Role, with tasks such as ECN Distribution, raising Fabrication Job Orders, organise Daily Dispatch shipments, including Export paperwork requirements.
Working with Production Control Assistant, plan/monitor fabricated items to ensure availability according to O.E build programme.
Plan availability and delivery Build Kits for Assembly and Test, including Shortage reporting, as well as overseeing Stores Function ensuring safe handling and storage of all O.E parts, materials and equipment.
To plan the Assembly Shop and the site in relation to storage and space. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Coordinate the shipment of all Generator units and all ship loose items to meet contract shipment dates. Ensuring all the packing list items are correctly identified, packaged & labelled to current procedures.
Planning/Monitoring/Communicating incoming materials and major equipment.
Assist with inventory management including Annual and periodic stock checking, stock levels, stock obsolescence management, reorder points and stores locations.
To be a job controller when required and to maintain good working relationships and compliance with 3rd party contractors, including transport, crane and packaging companies.
Salary:
£30,000-£35,000
