Job description

Job title: Production Controller

Location: Washington. Onsite role.

Salary: £37,263

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and scheduling Production Works Orders (PWO’s) to support the site Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  • Planning and scheduling Material Receipts (Vendor Scheduling) to support Production Demands and Storage Limitations. Liaising with Vendors, Expediting Deliveries
  • Providing periodic feedback to Procurement on Supplier Performance
  • Controlling the Issue of Material in to the Production Cell in line with production demands, with overall responsibility for all PWO’s release and timely closure
  • Maintaining SAP Data to ensure MRP System effectiveness and data accuracy, including conducting cycle counts, stock adjustments and monitoring master data
  • Complying with, and supporting BAE H&S Policy and Procedures

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Good knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Excellent IT Skills – particularly in the use of Spreadsheets
  • Experience in Stores / Stock Control practices and techniques

Desirable:

  • Practical problem solver, with the initiative to learn new tasks quickly
  • Effective communicator

The Production team:

As a Production Controller, you will support Washington operations by ensuring implementation of processes and procedures that effectively manage, plan and distribute raw material and finished product within Washington to assist production in meeting the contracted delivery dates. Your role will support accurate data capture and analysis of production performance such as efficiency, utilisation and effectivity.
