Role: Production Controller
Site Location: Rugby
Rate: £18.19 PAYE
Duration: 12 month contract (Potential to be temp to perm)
Position Summary
Working closely with all support functions and operational teams to ensure projects transition smoothly from order receipt to manufacturing by: -
- Develop, review, and implement all shopfloor paperwork in advance of production.
- Coordinating with support functions ensuring machine programs, tooling, contact parts etc. are in line with schedules requirements.
- Ensure drawings, check sheets and supporting documentation is available.
- Working with the quality team ensure all documentation completed and collated for production EOMRs.
- Be able to work automatously and without supervision for the daily tasks.
- Ensure that we are working to a priority list in line with project schedule and planning tasks and working a minimum of 2-4 weeks ahead of the operating plan.
- Work as a team within the facility, and support and implement the needs of the business in terms of operational flexibility.
- Support and take part in any EHS, Quality, Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
To act according to defined Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety instructions, including general and company own rules.
To undertake any other duty and responsibility as may be required by the Line Manager
Qualifications / Requirements
- Time served craft apprentice or equivalent experience.
- Through knowledge of manufacturing processes and manufacturing documentation generation.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work within a team.
- SAP experience would be advantageous.
- Continuous Improvement/Lean experience desirable
- Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English
