General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Production Engineer to join our Engineering Team, based in Merthyr, South Wales. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £32,800 to £41,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team, you will work across a range of stake holders that will place significant demands on their engineering knowledge and experience. The role will require close liaison and co-operation with the Design Engineering and Manufacturing teams. The candidate must be a team player who is prepared to lead from the front and work with a multi-national engineering team and the customer community.
If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:
- Support the generation of Production installation data packs for Production platform configurations.
- Technical audit of Production build process and installation design data packs.
- Manage and support Engineering Change into Production build.
To apply for this role, you will require the following:
- Knowledge of Vehicle Electrical & Hydraulic installation
- A background in military vehicle systems engineering.
- Familiarity with current British Army tracked and wheeled vehicles.
- Experience of working within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual engineering team.
- Broad knowledge of standards and legislation applicable to military platforms.
