BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

Overview:Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Precision Engineer / Mechanical Engineer
We want you to bring a modern approach to our successful and experienced Precision Engineering team. In this standalone role, reporting into the Vice President, you will take control of our entire Production / Manufacturing facility, make it your own and strive to improve our production processes.
Your key responsibilities will be
Implement and improve assembly to:and manufacturing processes and improvements.
- Design and develop tooling, jigs, fixtures calibration to support production processes.
- Reduce waste and improve our shop floor layout and material flow.
- Support new product development and New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lead CAPEX specification including costings, ROI, and suppliers.
Our goal is to become ISO accredited, and we want you to lead the way and get us there.
Your Background:Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Precision Engineer / Mechanical Engineer
You’re a mechanical engineer, we don’t mind if you’re degree educated, or if you’ve been down the apprentice route. It’s likely you’ll have experience using CNC machinery and have a thorough practical background in a Precision Engineering Production / Manufacturing environment.
In addition you’ll:
- Be a problem solver who wants the autonomy to improve efficiencies.
- Have strong CAD knowledge, ideally on SolidWorks, but we can train you on our systems if you have used others previously.
- Have strong leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively with different departments in the business.
- Ideally have experience implementing the correct changes to Health & Safety procedures.
