Production Engineer

OTAQ Group Limited have a new vacancy for a Production Engineer to work at their Ulverston Production Facility.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the production process, ensuring the efficiency and quality of connector components and assemblies.

Key Duties of the Workshop Technician:

Main responsibilities:

1.1. Technical Drawing and 3D Modelling

1.1.1. Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models of connector components, assemblies, tools, and jigs using industry-standard software such as 2D CAD and SolidWorks.

1.1.2. Ensure accuracy in dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications to meet manufacturing standards.

1.2. Collaboration and Quality Assurance

1.2.1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including internal engineers, shopfloor staff and external clients, Surveyors and suppliers, to ensure designs adhere to specifications and industry standards.

1.2.2. Help implement quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality connector products.

1.3. Data Management:

1.3.1. Utilise project management software to manage and maintain design data, including storage, organisation, and tracking throughout the design and production processes.

1.4. Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting:

1.4.1. Identify and troubleshoot design-related issues that may arise during the production process, implementing effective solutions to ensure seamless manufacturing.

1.5. Continuous Improvement:

1.5.1. Actively participate in the ongoing improvement of existing designs, incorporating feedback, and staying abreast of industry advancements.

1.6. In-house testing:

1.6.1. Work with internal staff and oversee pressure tests, environmental testing and general electrical testing

1.7. Promote a positive QHSE culture.

1.8. Contribute to the positive development of OTAQ Group, including its processes and procedures.

1.9. The candidate needs to be well organised, meticulous and able to work as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
