Form of workMy client is looking to recruit an experienced Production Engineer to join their busy team, based on the outskirts of Salisbury.
This is not a HYBRID/REMOTE ROLE, so you must be commutable distance to Salisbury.
You will need to have mechanical design experience, be able to work with CAD, and be hands on.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing management: Part inventory management, Bills of material, Works Order processing, Stock Control, Stocktakes, Workshop routine maintenance & repairs
Purchasing: Supplier management, Sourcing suppliers, Supplier quote requests, Stock inventory costs management, Purchase order placement, Part delivery scheduling, Purchase order of parts manufactured to drawings, Drawings issued to supplier with order.
Goods received: Purchase order goods received on manufacturing system (Cadlay), Goods received inspection, Goods transfer to stores / production, Goods received reject returns & NCR control.
Engineering Design & Control: Parts: CAD model creation & update revisions of parts, Drawing creation for parts (ie: machined etc), Drawing amendments & revision control, Drawing updates to Cadlay system PDF links.
Product Assemblies: CAD model assembly creation & update revisions of products / sub-assemblies, Assembly drawing creation & updates, Revision control of drawings, Customer product drawings , Updating stored PDF copies on servers etc CAD System
Maintaining: Vault maintenance, Backups
Sales Enquiry Product Design & Costings: Product and parts design, CAD models & drawings, Supplier quote requests for parts & services, Product manufacturing costs against bill of materials
Calibration: Metri product calibration, Customer product re-calibration, Calibration custom part purchasing & repairs (Spare Parts) , Calibration equipment routine maintenance & servicing
Salary is negotiable depending on experience, office based Monday-Friday.
