We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the engineering team as a Production Engineering Technician to support the build and transfer of prototype products into Production.
The Details...
This exciting and challenging role will involve hands on engineering technical support for product manufacturing lines and processes. This will involve mechanical and electrical assembly of production manufacturing equipment. Solving process and equipment related issues whilst supporting planned maintenance/calibration requirements for manufacturing.
Duties include:
- Undertake planned maintenance and calibration of production manufacturing equipment, following a monthly schedule of activities.
- Providing support to resolve technical issues, ensuring all investigation work is documented with the aim to reduce cost and improve reliability, while complying with current quality standards
- Ability to follow and read mechanical engineering drawings accurately
- Reacting quickly to production quality issues in an efficient manner using standard procedures
- Support new manufacturing product introduction and process changes
- Defining and documenting clear written work instructions to ensure effective and efficient product assembly
- Contributing towards driving continuous improvement and ensuring departmental targets are met and exceeded wherever possible
- Maintaining a safe working environment ensuring all company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times
What We're Looking For...
We'll expect you to have a GCSE in Maths & English or equivalent and a relevant engineering qualification would also be a bonus. You'll have worked in production manufacturing environments. Hands on technical ability working with manufacturing equipment, mechanical assemblies and electrical installations is essential. If you're also familiar with quality management systems and proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, this would be advantageous.
