Job Title:Production Manager

Location: Burton on Trent

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + bonus + excellent benefits

Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join a manufacturer of hand tools for the construction sector. You will be part of a driven supportive management team, and the role offers great opportunities for future progression within the business.
You will lead and manage production activities, ensuring products are manufactured safely, to the desired quality, meeting the customer expectations in terms of on time delivery whilst maximising the company’s commercial position through minimised cost.

Main duties include:

• Production plan creation, management & delivery
• Interaction with other departments
• Delivery of required communications to operations staff regarding safety, quality and general updates
• Staff resource planning
• Problem solving on operational issues
• Staff development.
• Driving process quality compliance and improvement
• Facility & asset, management
• Delivery of operational reporting and performance indicators
• Ensuring that all company and legal standards for health and safety and competency are adhered to
• Management of operational quality activities including calibration, asset management work instructions
• Driving on time delivery through planning, focus and prioritisation
• Delivery of Lean Manufacturing improvements
• Management of operational opportunities and risks

Skills and Experience:

• HNC Level Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Level 3 Management qualification
• Leading an operational team in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in managing of safety and quality issues in a manufacturing environment
• Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicating to stakeholders both individually and as a team
• Relentless attitude to Health & Safety
• Process driven with a passion for quality
• Strong communicator, motivator with a positive attitude
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
