Salary up to £35,000 - £55,000 basic dependant on experience.

LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner of an award-winning manufacturer of Industrial recycling machinery. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join their rapidly expanding team in Dungannon.
The main duties of the role will be managing and delivering all responsibilities entailed within the production department while reporting to the Operations Manager.
The Role:
- Ensure the dept functions within budget, delivers to schedule and to the quality standards required.
- Report on Dept KPI’s highlighting deviations and corrective actions.
- Ensure the daily/weekly/monthly dept KPI meetings are effective.
- Provide leadership for your production team consisting of around 40 employees.
- Responsible for employee recruitment, training, performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Implement and embed lean manufacturing principles within the production department.
- Ensure safety, health, environment, and quality requirements are applied and maintained.
- Liaise with other departments to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
- Ensure all areas of administration within the department are being handled correctly and that information to / from internal and external stakeholders is accurate and timely.
- Occasional travel will be required.
The Person:
- Applicants should have a minimum of five years' production management experience within a manufacturing environment preferably heavy engineering.
- A degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent level of industry experience.
- Must have a strong health and safety knowledge and ability to drive a robust H&S culture - desirable to have a H&S qualification.
- Demonstrable experience of leading continuous improvement activities from concept to implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a tenacity to get to the root cause of operational issues and implement countermeasures.
- Should have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Including strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
Working hours 8am-5pm Mon-Thursday and Friday 8am 2.30pm.
