WORKING IN WAREHAM AT ONE OF OUR BUSIEST QUARRIES THIS ROLE IS AN IDEAL POSITION FOR SOMEONE WHO IS SELF-MOTIVATED AND ENJOYS OPERATING MOBILE PLANT.
The Role:
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, the main responsibilities and duties are to operate and maintain Mobile Plant, including Dumper Truck, Loading Shovel, Excavator, working as part of the wider team to ensure materials and stockpiles are transported around the site and are free of contamination, and assist in the maintenance of mobile and static plant. As well as helping to keep the site tidy and clean for customers.
Ideally candidates will have mechanical knowledge and experience in using mobile plant in a similar environment. However, full training can be given. Maintenance and cleaning of the plant is part of this role.
Duties will include:
- Operate mobile plant in the safe and correct manner, provided you have received authorisation and training.
- Keep machine cabs clean & tidy. Greased as per manufactures instruction.
- Fill out defect sheets on mobile plant daily and report any defects to the site management in a timely manner.
- Assist in the maintenance of mobile plant.
- Operation of Weighbridge when required on a relief basis
To ensure that the Company’s activities comply with legislation and regulation concerning Health, Safety and Welfare, Quarry Regulations, Environmental and Quality control the role will be required to learn, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Standard hours of work will be 07:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday and every other Saturday 07.00 to 12.00 which is paid at over time rate.
