C-TEC are a privately owned, proud british manufacturer of life safety equipment based in the North West. We have been based in Wigan for 40 years, with many of our staff being with us since our early days. Since then we have seen tremendous growth, and due to continuing worldwide demand, C-Tec is expanding its state of the art manufacturing headquarters in Wigan and we are looking to expand our production team.
What is the role?
We are looking for full-time Operatives to assist in the manufacture of life safety systems such as fire alarms, automatic extinguisher panels and disabled refuge systems.
Working between the hours of 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday, you will be an active member of our production team. Working to deadlines you will assemble components onto printed circuit boards, perform routine tests and assemble products in accordance with our standard operating procedures, the production schedule, and the Quality Management System.
To be successful in this role, you will be hard working, motivated, able to work in a team, as well as on your own. We are particularly looking for people who have good organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail, who demands high standards and want to learn and progress through our business.
This role comes with the opportunity to progress to various senior positions within our manufacturing department, as well as many other exciting career development routes throughout our organisation. C-TEC has a proud history of promoting from within, with many senior managers and members of staff in our Technical, Engineering and Sales departments having started with our production team.
Employment Details
This position comes with a starting salary of £11.44 per hour, rising to £11.98 per hour after a probationary period. After that you will continue to work through the production training plan, earning pay increases as you progress. We also offer a highly competitive tiered pay scale allowing for future career development to Senior Production Operative & Supervisory levels.
We offer 34 days holiday as standard and are closed on public holidays, including a Christmas shut down.
Overtime is available and is paid at 1.5x.
