Although full training is provided you will need an eye for detail, the ability to follow instructions and processes accurately to ensure quality control is maintained and a willingness to learn new skills, including how to operate the machinery.

SALARY: £30,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Enfield, North London

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Rotating Shift Pattern or AM (6am - 3pm) and PM Shift (3pm - 11pm), Monday to Friday

At times, there will also be the opportunity to work additional hours before and after shift as well as at weekends.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative / Manufacturing Line Technicianwho is familiar with working on production lines and FMCG / Food manufacturing environments.

Working as the Production Operative / Manufacturing Line Technician you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient running, maintenance, changeover and troubleshooting of the production lines.

As the Production Operative / Manufacturing Line Technician you will be expected to champion a zero-accident culture, excellent focus on food safety and quality and to drive the company’s key behaviours. You will play an active role in the delivery of departmental performance targets such as OEE, right first time (RFT), waste and yield.

Once trained, you will also be expected to complete basic equipment condition monitoring, preventative maintenance duties and basic engineering repairs.

DUTIES

Once trained your duties as the Production Operative / Manufacturing Line Technician include:

• Lead & ensure H&S compliance, delivering on all H&S KPI’s (Near miss reporting, SML & BRC audit scores etc.)

• Supervise production line team to ensure all tasks are achieved as measured through GMP audits and daily KPI’s

• Check and identify any issues that would affect line efficiency and inform the engineering team and production Shift Managers, to minimise down time and achieve OEE in line with current targets. Follow escalation procedure

• Complete shift handovers with other shift line tech ensuring you know what the current status is in terms of materials required, pallets left to produce, next product, machine downtime and escalate any concerns

• Meet all quality and food standard checks as defined by the Quality Assurance Systems in order to meet Customer Service targets. This includes verifying tipping process, CCP checks, start up and hourly quality checks

• Carry out line maintenance e.g. cleaning or greasing of line to maximise smooth running of the lines. Use deep clean schedules, daily and weekly cleaning sheets and maintenance rota as guide

• Ensure all items used in production is issued and dekitted correctly and any finished goods pallets made receipted correctly

• Ensure all direct reports are actively supervised and maintain a good standard of work

• Deliver training to new operatives in line operation and ensure they are working safely within the production guide lines

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge and experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment

• Demonstrate that you can work both within a team and use your own initiative with a confident and collaborative approach

• Proactive work ethic and excellent communication skills

• Willing to learn new skills

• High attention to detail
