Job description
Carbon60 are recruiting for an Operator to work with global supplier of laser processing tools. They are a unique business based in Abingdon, supplying bespoke special purpose machinery that incorporate laser technology.
This Operator position is on a temporary basis until the end of June 2024 and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who has previous experience working within a production environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Preparation of optic fibre for production
Manual loading and unloading of optic fibre assemblies
Fine adjustment of mechanical alignment prior to processing
QA testing and recording data for finished parts
Recording batch data and writing labels
Any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position
Skills and Experience required:
Previous experience working within a test lab or quality assurance environment is advantageous.
A high degree of dexterity and has the ability to work with small fragile components is a must. (Good eye site is also needed because of the size of the components).
A fast learner with the ability to cope with repetitive work.
Confident and competent with the use of standard IT equipment and software
ERP software usage is beneficial.
Pay = £11.84 per hour.
