Role Purpose:
Support the production of high quality products whilst meeting production targets and adhering to Health & Safety requirements.
Initially the Production Operative will support the Machine Operators, ensuring: materials are in place and ready for production, product is packaged correctly and general housekeeping is maintained.
Production Operatives will progress onto machine operations once they have gained the relevant skills and experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Assist Machine Operators in the running of various machines
· Ensure product packs are correctly labelled and banded ready for transportation
· Operate overhead cranes
· Clean machines/rafts and assist in minor maintenance
· Ensure production deadlines are met whilst meeting safety and quality standards
· Support with ad hoc task as required
· Production Operatives will progress to machine operation once they have acquired the relevant skills and experience
Skills & Experience:
· 2 years’ experience working within manufacturing environment
· A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a similar environment
· Experience operating machinery is desirable
· Able to prioritise and meet productivity levels
· A ‘can do’ attitude
· An appetite to learn new skills
· A good work ethic - hard working and reliable
· Good communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.02-£13.62 per hour
