An exciting opportunity has arisen within Simpsons Malt Limited for an Operator to join the team at our Tivetshall site in Norfolk.
This is a full-time, permanent role working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6.00am to 5.00pm.
The successful applicant will report to the GKV Production Manager and will be an integral member of the operational team.
Strong inter-personal, communication and problem-solving skills will be key to the role. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable. Part of this role will be to cover colleagues during periods of absence; help out during busy times and to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of both your role and the functioning of the site.
Key Tasks:
- Prepare for manufacturing operations/activities and tasks.
- Perform operations/activities and tasks.
- Water Treatment Plant sampling.
- Water Treatment Plant sample analysis.
- Repair and clean the equipment and production area.
- Monitor and control the process operation.
- Perform inspection and testing operation/task/activity.
- Manage, check and control materials in your area of responsibility.
- Effective handover of operations.
- Operate ancillary equipment/transport material including forklift trucks and industrial vehicles.
- Maintain a clean as you go policy in all areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the business.
