To be empathetic and demonstrate reassurance skills where patients may have barriers to understanding/special needs.To be responsible for their individual caseload of pre-assessment patients ensuring they meet individual patient and client needs ensuring that all patients haveappropriate individualised, clinical assessments.To work independently and without direct supervision after completing recognised competencies.To be committed to assuring the quality of care delivered is monitoring &evaluated.To be aware of and demonstrate practice based on current advances withinnursing.To act as an advocate for patients and their significant others.To maintain accurate records/standards for documentation including IT, data collection and input.To act as resource for junior members of the team.To liaise and communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team.Participate in audit for the department.Give written and verbal advice/teaching to patients and carers
