Position: Production Operator
Overview: We are in search of a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as a Production Operator. This role demands mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to support our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including preparation of batches including wax, acrylic, prophylaxis paste and more. The role will also require operating machinery, maintenance, and product inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Batch Preparation: Ensure accurate preparation of various material batches according to Works Orders, meticulously recording batch details and adhering to company protocols.
- Product Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Line Operations: Proficiently manage line startup and shutdown procedures, demonstrating technical expertise and precision.
- Wax Cylinder Production: Contribute to the production process by efficiently creating wax cylinders for extrusion.
- Training and Procedure Review: Assist in training new staff and reviewing operational procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across the production line.
- Machine Setup and Maintenance: Skillfully set up and maintain various machines throughout the facility, including wax moulding and manumold machines, to optimize production processes.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere strictly to company policies regarding quality control, health, and safety, maintaining a proactive approach to risk mitigation and accident prevention.
- Housekeeping and 5S Standards: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in work areas, ensuring adherence to 5S principles for optimal efficiency and safety.
- Flexibility and Collaboration: Assist in other production areas as needed, demonstrating versatility and teamwork to meet production demands effectively.
- End-of-Day Procedures: Ensure proper shutdown of all plant and machinery at the conclusion of each workday, contributing to the overall security and maintenance of the facility.
- Site Security: Assume responsibility for unlocking/locking the factory as required, ensuring the site's security measures are rigorously upheld during periods of supervisor absence or holidays.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Prior experience operating machinery or relevant engineering background preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions, ideas, and solutions effectively.
- Adaptability: Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to evolving production demands.

£12.10 per hour + production bonus
Shift timing: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday from 08:30 to 14:00
