Role Description
Princes has recently invested over £60 million into the Cardiff site transforming it into one of the UK's leading Centres of Juice Excellence. This is an opportunity to join the team as a Production Planner.
This role sits within the Planning department and is crucial for ensuring that the Production plans meet the customer demand and supply needs.

Working Hours
This is a Monday to Friday position working 08.45 - 17.00 at our Cardiff site. Please note there is free parking onsite. Please note once trained there will be the opportunity for Hybrid working subject to the business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Re-evaluate service levels daily - proactively amending production schedules to react to demand and sales forecasts so as to optimise customer service and operational costs
- With regard to the production plan, ensure timely delivery of an accurate supply plan for raw materials and packaging scheduling.
- Keep a rolling fixed factory schedule accurate and up to date
- Planning of production lines to maintain efficient, feasible fixed schedule, keeping plans as stable as possible.
- Maintain customer service for the site at 99% or above
- Liaise with MPS Team to maintain finished goods stocks to agreed levels
- Provide accurate and timely information to the material scheduling team
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Responsible at all times for ensuring optimum customer service in terms of quantity and timeliness
- Has authority to change production plan at any time (with the support of on-call managers during ‘out of hours’ where appropriate)
- Effective management of redundant stocks
- Effective management of NPD/EPD, ensuring customer launch requirements are met
- Regular review of planning run rates in conjunction with operational Department Managers
- Maintain and upkeep of all planning master data
- Collaborative working with the MPS Team to ensure business requirements are met
Role Requirements
- Production Planning experience
- Advanced Level Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable interacting and supporting colleagues at all levels of the business including NPD, operational and commercial functions
- Self organised and motivated, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- SAP/APO and associated planning systems experience would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of integrated and end to end Supply chain planning processes
