Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location.  It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.  As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing:

With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:

  • Using standard processes and best practice, you will be accountable for the total production plan in Core manufacturing facility.
  • You will drive on time delivery through application of rigorous Planning & scheduling processes and ERP compliance
  • Working with the customer, supplier (or internal representatives of them), you will identify, prioritise, mitigate and resolve delivery issues impacting the customer
  • Functionally you will own the load capacity planning processes and ensure robust load capacity planning is undertaken within the value streams.
  • You will develop a team of competent & capable professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring inventory levels are valid and representative both for stock and WIP.

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A background in Production Planning from master production scheduling through to detailed shop floor scheduling and execution.
  • Experienced in a manufacturing / production environment, preferably complex products with large BOMs.
  • Knowledgeable in ERP systems (preferably SAP), competent in transactional and data extraction.
  • Experience of designing and deploying WIP management techniques and processes.
  • Knowledge of inventory (stock) control including PPI.
  • Preferably previous involvement in in factory logistics – including material storage and movements.
  • The ability to influence across cross functional groups of people.
  • A proven track record of driving improvement and delivering results.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.

Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
