Production Process Engineer

We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established organisation specialising in sustainable transportation solutions through innovation, in both material science and manufacturing processes.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Production (Process) Engineer to join the team, based in Huntingdon.

The successful Production Engineer will assist in the day-to-day production whilst identifying and implementing process improvements to ensure full compliance with the relevant quality, industry and Health and Safety standards.

You will create and deliver detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures and process control check sheets whilst leading cross functional teams for problem solving and PFMEA sessions.

In this multifaceted role, you will also be responsible for overseeing a range of projects through to completion.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• A relevant engineering qualification is essential.
• Proven experience within a similar role and industry.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 or ISO14001 would be advantageous.
• Experience of implementing change, process improvement and reducing costs.
• A positive and enthusiastic approach to providing technical support and problem solving.
• Ability to take ownership with effective decision-making skills.
• Highly organised and detailed orientated.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong drive to learn and develop further technically.
