Purpose of the Production Supervisor role:Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor to lead and develop people and processes in the stores production area to maximise safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.
Main duties and responsibilities of a Production Supervisor:. Capacity and demand planning Responsible for the adherence to the production plan, achieving production performance/targets/OTIF and OEE Delivering shift change over meetings, daily reporting, and weekly reporting Responsible for the adoption of lean philosophies, lean processes, and improvement / CI activities Execution of Risk Assessments, Safety Walks (operational), 5S Audits, and Layered Audits (operational) Support the execution of Safety Walks (leadership), Layered Audits (leadership) Responsible for Near Miss, Incident, and Accident Reporting (associated communications) Responsible for nurturing positive culture and upholding BorgWarner Beliefs and Behaviours including DE&I Responsible for deputising for the role directly above, ensuring a flexible workforce, undertaking training needs analysis, and talent development Support the creation and execution of training and development plans Responsible for onboarding, wider business cross-functional integration/communications, and Performance Management.
Experience/knowledge requirements for a Production Supervisor:. Previous experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership abilities Effective communication skills IT skills using MS Office & ERP Systems Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
