Who are we?
We are Busy Bee Recruitment, an awarding-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our client base spanning multiple sectors including: Sales & Marketing, Admin & Customer Service, Technical & Engineering, Industrial & Manufacturing, Finance & Accountancy, Care & Education, Supply Chain & Logistics.
Duties to Include:
- Motivate and drive forward the department to meet the output requirements.
- Organise and manage the assembly team- to include shift personnel.
- Organise holiday, sickness and weekend engineer callout cover.
- Work closely with the operations manager on any requirements for the department.
- Monitor and order any spare parts for the department.
- Monitor and support staff performance.
- Organise service engineer visits.
- Investigate and offer suggestions for process improvements and/or cost reductions.
- Assist in the assembly production where required
- Create/rewrite standard operating procedures.
Skills/Experience required:
- Experience of supervising and organising a production team in a 24/7 or shift type manufacturing environment.
- Be familiar with assembly technology and manufacturing equipment.
- 5-10 years experience of working in a high output production environment.
- A good mechanical aptitude and familiar with ISO 9001:2015
- Organised with excellent management skills.
- Willing to go the extra mile- you may be required to work outside of normal working hours to spend time with each shift on a regular basis.
