Production Supervisor
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Oversee and manage the support functions for the production process.  Including quality control, repairs and shipping, to assist with achieving pre-determined performance targets within set parameters.
• Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to recognise, explore and implement efficiencies to maximise production time while maintaining high product quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee supporting activity within the Logo manufacturing facility specifically quality control, repairs and shipping; ensuring best practice, health and safety and resource efficiencies are effectively utilised.
• Ensuring activity is in line with achieving predetermined performance targets, with regular monitoring and reporting of results.
• Develop and implement new procedures and processes to simplify and improve operations.
• Oversee the qualification process of new products ensuring that correct specifications are met.
• Oversee the training and ongoing personal development of all direct and indirect reports ensuring motivation and morale is maintained at a high level.
• Manage the labour resource to obtain maximum efficiency whilst ensuring flexibility in working hours to cope with seasonal demands.
• Attend and participate in scheduled and ad-hoc production meetings to communicate team performance.  Communicate appropriate results and KPI’s to direct and indirect reports as required.
• Oversee and assist Team Leaders with training of Quality, repairs and Shipping employees in relevant operating and safety procedures to Company specified standards.  Intervene where required.
• Ensure high quality standards are achieved and maintained.
• capturing, monitoring, and reporting on information relating to production errors e.g. work card misprints, reworks, new product assembly, and help implement appropriate measures to ensure errors are not repeated.
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are met, and workplace compliance is monitored regularly.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications required

• Significant experience of supervising in a manufacturing environment with focus on technical specifications and quality.
• Proven experience of leading and developing a team.
• IT literate and competent with using Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience using SAP would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to direct others.
