SalaryPersonnel Selection Recruitment Andover is seeking a Production Support Technician / Production Team Leader for a manufacturing company based in Andover.
The Production Support Technician will work as part of the Production Support team to provide technical support for the production cells within the manufacturing facility. You will be the first line of support between the production cells and the manufacturing and design engineering team.
As the Production Support Technician, you will ensure that the day to day technical production departments are offered support to the production cells. You will introduce corrective actions and process improvements as guided by senior management. The production Support Technician must ensure that the work they are carrying out will satisfy the customer requirements and comply with necessary health and safety requirements. You will be able to police the line and if you believe something is incorrect you will be able to stop production and then gain further clarification from someone more senior.
Requirements to be considered
- General understanding of mechanical, electrics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Minimum of 2 years in Manufacturing process environment.
- Lean manufacturing background.
- Strong command of the English language
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently
- Good communication to all levels of staff, from operator level to senior management.
- GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Maths.
