What’s the mission?
We are now looking for an Production Team Leader at Beenham to support the Operations Manager in the management and running of the site.
You'll lead the operations team and operational activities defined to your area, some of which include overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste and OEE targets, and people management. You’ll ensure that process control checks and records are completed to company standards and escalation and management of quality incidents through a non-conformance process, guaranteeing all affected products or material is contained/controlled.

You’ll support a zero-tolerance approach to breaches in safety standards, ensuring that everything within the assigned department/shift is compliant with policies/procedures and associated site controls.
As a team player and people person, you’ll deliver team briefs/toolbox talks promptly and in the spirit in which they are intended whilst ensuring that any initiatives are embraced and actioned in line with company guidelines.
You will be working a two-week rotating shift pattern (covering hours between 6 am-11 pm) Monday to Friday, with overtime on Saturdays. You will be on a 45 hour a week contract.
What’s the mission critical skills?
- IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate and other relevant qualifications eg ILM, Lean Six Sigma desirable.
- Experience of operating in a medium / large manufacturing site with responsibility for a team of 10 or more employees.
- Ideally some experience of operating in a traditional employee relations climate/heavily unionised environment.
- A knowledge & understanding of CTP and OEE.
- Some experience of implementing continuous improvement / lean manufacturing techniques eg. DMAIC, would be an advantage.
- Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management.
- Demonstrable experience of driving and improving site performance
