The opportunity
As a Professional Qualification Advisor, you will work in our Professional Qualifications Team (PQT), who currently support over 1,500 students across our offices in the UK. Within this role, you’ll provide day-to-day support to our students. This includes, but is not limited to, professional body registrations, progress planning, celebrating exam success and practical experience.
You will support the Professional Qualifications Team Manager on any projects to achieve the groups qualification and apprenticeship strategy, working with the regional HR teams to support our students to success.
Day to day duties
The PQA supports students through key accountancy qualifications, such as ICAEW, AAT, ICAS and CIOT. Your keyresponsibilities will be to:-
- Deliver the requirements of the Azets UK Student Program.
- Be responsible for your specified qualifications, being the subject matter expert within the team.
- Hold strong working relationships with your identified professional body, to ensure service levels are maintained to a high standard. This includes attending regular meetings with the bodies.
- Be responsible for communicating to students, managers and stakeholders updates from your identified professional body, for example syllabus changes, exam formats, etc.
- Be responsible for accurate and timely collation and communication of examination results. Identifying and celebrating successes alongside offering a support plan for students who fail.
- Contribute to the monthly student dashboard, obtaining relevant data and insights.
- Provide day to day support to our students and student managers, support with the development of study pathways, tracking student progress and providing early intervention plans where needed.
- Taking a customer centric approach; build & maintain meaningful relationships with managers, students, and apprentices across the business . This includes proactively dealing with high volumes of queries and offering ongoing support.
- Work with external training providers and institutes to ensure service levels are maintained to a high standard, for example ensuring KPI’s are met.
- Be responsible for ensuring students payment methods for examination and course bookings are processed, either via Romina or through the training provider.
- Sharing best practice across the PQ team, including and not limited to the maintenance of the shared knowledge base.
- Be responsible for updating all relevant PQ trackers.
- Hold strong working relations with regional HR teams, providing student updates on progress and any interventions.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience working in a further education environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Ability to build knowledge quickly in this fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced team contributing to everyone’s success
- Strong customer service experience and skills
- Strong proactive and can-do attitude
- Good planning and organising skills
- Ability to make logical, reasoned decisions based on available information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Supplier management experience would be advantageous but not essential
