This is an exciting role, leading projects and programme activity to support delivery of L&Q’s Future Shape Strategy, including L&Q’s multi-year £45m Transformation Programme, which will fundamentally improve the way we work and transform the services we provide to our 250,000 residents. This is a big opportunity to make big change happen, and to improve what we do and how we do it for our residents.
Along with Strategy, Planning and Change, the successful role holder will work in close collaboration with colleagues across the business, including Technology, Finance and operational teams.
This is a broad role requiring the ability to flexibly deliver programme management services across a range of projects and programmes end to end, including business analysis, business case development, delivery of change activity, as well as coordination and execution of delivery plans and dependencies to ensure objectives and benefits come to fruition. You will need to translate individual workstream plans into overarching programme plans, manage risks and issues and coach teams in resolving and escalating issues. The ability to work in a complex, dynamic setting and remain agile, adaptable and responsive are critical experiences and skills we seek in the role holder.
It is expected this role will primarily support the discovery and design phase of L&Q’s Transformation programme As well as managing core programme artefacts within the Design workstream, you will be responsible for managing core methodology templates and design principles and supporting coordination across the team and the wider transformation programme to provide assurance that we are adhering to our principles and core ways of working to deliver the best outcomes we can for L&Q and our customers.
Your role is to support the workstream to be successful and, in doing so there may be specific coordination tasks which require you to lead independently to understand complex business or technical issues or requirements and develop a response. This could be, for example, to arrange familiarisation sessions for the Design team and others on aspects of L&Q’s technical platform or monitoring progress by L&Q colleagues or external partners to deliver outcomes specified in our Statements of Works. You should feel confident to track progress and manage conversations with key stakeholders to provide interim assurance on behalf of the lead officer within the Design team on a wider range of technical and non-technical subject matters.
As such, the key required skills include Leadership, Portfolio, Programme and Project Management, Risk Management, Communication and Influencing, and Business Analysis. Experience of applying these skills in a complex and dynamic technical and business-based landscape is essential.
We seek a well-rounded, adaptable, and experienced Programme Manager, who can use their skills to bring stakeholders and teams together to deliver brilliant outcomes for colleagues and residents alike.
If you are interested in this role and have the experience required, then apply without delay!
