IT&D Programme Manager
We are recruiting for a Programme Manager that has relevant and hands-on experience of working with large programmes of work and experience of managing a project management team.
IT & Digital services are crucial for the future of the university and they have a big part in supporting the University's Road to 2030 strategy. The work we do impacts significantly on both the personal and learning experience of those who study here. We are committed to developing and maintaining highly usable, fast, flexible, and personalised Information Systems services that reflect the changing needs of our growing university.
About the role
Our growing team is working across a range of initiatives, programmes and projects that are at the core of the overall transform of Manchester Met to underpin our strategy and ambition for the future. From programmes relating to the refresh of core infrastructure services, to ones that will lead the way for future student journeys or that enhance the overall student and staff experience, all our projects positively impact the lives of our students and colleagues.
You will be in supporting with identifying, planning, and coordinating a group of related projects within the university portfolios or a business change programmes. The role involves managing their interdependencies to support specific University strategies and objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrable experience of programme/project management
- Previously had line management responsibility and be able to demonstrate successful team development
- Experience of working with various delivery methodologies in a programme or project management role and be able to mentor project teams and train new staff
- Proven record of strong leadership and management of organisational change with portfolios, programmes and projects
- Strong influencing and communicating skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to influence with authority
