This is a fantastic opportunity to improve the organisation through effectively managed change and robust use of performance data to inform strategy and senior leadership decision making. By leading on a large portfolio of programmes and projects you will secure the delivery of aims and objectives as set out in the Corporate Strategy. Your close working relationship with the senior leadership team makes this an influential role. You will shape the way programmes and projects are delivered for the council and how performance is measured to improve the overall performance of the organisation. You will oversee a team of project managers, business analysts, project officers and performance & policy specialists to ensure the successful delivery of programmes, projects and performance.
We are looking for a candidate who has a strong track record of managing performance data and reporting performance to senior management teams. You will need to be a highly analytical and strategic thinker, who is confident with performance data and has a demonstrable record of organisational performance improvement. You will also need to have a track record of providing credible and clear advice on project and programme delivery and have significant experience of developing and leading high performance teams. Proven experience of working on cross functional business change programmes is a must and the effective management of a range of stakeholders is needed.
Reporting to the Director of Change & Performance, your close working relationship with the senior leadership team makes this an influential role which will shape the way programmes and projects are delivered for the council. Your role will be at the very heart of decision making as you also work with the senior leadership team to identify how performance can be improved through the use of real time data.
